Chapter 4: October 4,

It seems the Professors think we have too much free time because there is no other reason for this much work. How do they expect us to get this done? If anyone needs me, I'll be in the library, kicking myself for taking six classes.

Chapter 3: September 23

The dance was better than I expected. The food was edible and I would be lying if I didn't say I thought the music to be phenomenal. I almost wish we had more dances throughout the year.

To whomever thought it was a brilliant idea to the food fight yesterday, I would like you to know I'm still having trouble getting the pudding out of my hair. If anyone knows who is to blame, anonymous tips or regular ones would be wonderful!

Chapter 2: September 16

Well, I'm glad things are working better today, yesterday was a bit too crazy for my liking. Though I'd be lying if I didn't say I was a little happy to have today off. Now I get to spend another day studying, which is better than going to class I suppose. I feel like since we have the day off we are obligated to study to make up for the day of missed classes.

Mother sent me a new dress for my birthday, said it was for the Fall Ball. I guess that is her subtle way of implying she thinks I should go to the ball. I have to say, my mother does have good taste in dresses because this one is lovely. Even my father sent me a card with some spending money, which was very kind of him. He doesn't need to know I'm going to spend it all on new books.

Chapter 1: September 1

My summer was completely uneventful. I mostly just spent my free time reading. I must have worked my way through at least fifty novels. It's a good thing I remembered to make a stop in London to pick up a few new novels more like twenty so I would have something to read though I'm always looking for suggestions as long as it's from a reliable source.

Anyway, I think I might be only one of a handful of students actually excited to be back at school. It's hard to believe I'm starting my seventh year. Half the time I still fee like a little first year, possibly because of the amount of people around here that act like it, but I digress. It should be a busy year at the least, what with N.E.W.T.'s and all. My goal is to spend at least three hours a day studying for them. Maybe not all at the start, but I hope to work up to it by winter break. Anyone else planning their unique study methods yet?
